Tzachi Zach joined the Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems in 2008. In addition to teaching the introductory financial accounting course in the Honors Program, Zach teaches Accounting Policy and Research in the Master of Accounting program. Zach developed this unique course, which blends accounting research and practice in the classroom, while at Washington University in St. Louis, where he taught for six years prior to coming to Fisher. Zach’s research interests include financial reporting and its relation to capital markets, earnings management, managerial incentives, and empirical accrual models. His research has been published in numerous leading professional journals. Zach won the 2011 Undergraduate Teaching Award at Fisher. At Washington University, he won two Reid Teaching Awards and was granted the Reid Chair by senior faculty for excellence in teaching. Zach holds a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Simon School of Business at University of Rochester.
