Thomas Goldsby

Prior to coming to Fisher, Thomas Goldsby held previous faculty appointments at the University of Kentucky and Iowa State University. Goldsby’s research interests include logistics customer service, supply chain integration, and the theory and practice of lean and agile supply chain strategies. Before beginning his career in academia, Goldsby served as a logistics analyst for the Valvoline Company. He previously worked for the Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C., and served as a research fellow at the University of Kentucky Transportation Research Center. He has served as a consultant to manufacturers, distributors, retailers, logistics service providers, non-governmental organizations, and the U.S. Department of Defense. Goldsby serves on the selection committee for numerous industry awards, including AMR Research Top 25 Supply Chains, CSCMP’s Supply Chain Innovation Award, Logistics Quarterly magazine’s Third-Party Sustainability Award, and University of Kentucky’s Corporate Sustainability Awards. Goldsby holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Evansville (1992), an MBA from the University of Kentucky (1993), and a PhD in Marketing and Logistics from Michigan State University (1998).
