Matthew Gelber is a Managing Director and Head of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s Corporate Banking Group. The Corporate Banking Group provides sophisticated capital markets solutions and balance sheet management services to mid to large size corporations through a team of bankers based in Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, San Francisco and Washington D.C.
Prior to assuming his current role in January 2016, Matt led STRH’s Financial Services Group and Financial Sponsors Group. The Financial Services Group covers clients in multiple financial services sectors. The Financial Sponsors Group covers leading growth and buyout private equity firms by delivering them STRH’s full suite of industry sector and product expertise.
Matt joined SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in 1999 as part of its Technology and Software Group. In 2002, Matt transferred to the Financial Services & Technology group and began developing a team of bankers covering multiple industry sectors, including asset management, business services, depositories, financial technology, insurance, software and specialty finance.
