Florida Managing Partner, Grant Thornton
Doug was appointed the managing partner for the South Florida offices of Grant Thornton in April 2004 and became the managing partner for the Florida offices in October 2011. The Florida offices are in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville. Doug also served for two terms as a Board Member on the Grant Thornton Partnership Board from 2008 to 2014. He is a strategic thinker with a proven track record for growth and profitability.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 2002, Doug was with Arthur Andersen for 22 combined years in Charlotte and Greensboro, North Carolina. He was promoted to partner in 1991 and became the partner in charge of the Greensboro office in 2000. His experience includes assisting companies in mergers and acquisitions, performing due diligence, consulting on financial reporting and structuring of acquisitions, purchase accounting, private placements, 144A offerings, public securities registrations and SEC reporting. He has worked with a wide range of companies, from start-ups to Fortune 1000 companies, in a variety of industries, and has spent the majority of his career working with middle market companies in the manufacturing, distribution and retail industries.

Doug is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Miami University.
