Isabel Fernandez is Chief Commercial Officer at GE Capital, Americas, the largest provider of commercial loans and leases to mid-market companies throughout the Americas. In this role, Isabel leads all sales, marketing and product management responsibilities across the business.
Before taking on her current role, Isabel was President & CEO of Bank Loans, an institutional investor within GE Capital Americas, dealing in syndicated bank loan facilities, typically greater than $150 million. The group focuses on strategic and alternative investment opportunities, including distressed debt.
Prior to leading Bank Loans, Isabel was Chief Commercial Officer for GE Capital EMEA and business leader for some of GE Capital’s Pan-European businesses, such as Healthcare Financial Services, Equipment Finance and Fleet services.
In December 2005, Isabel was appointed European Head of Enterprise Clients, a pan-European sales team responsible for GE Capital’s most important customers and prospects in Europe.
In 2002, she took leadership of the Telecom, Media & Technology team for Europe, providing LBO and equity financing solutions to the industry.
Isabel joined GE in 2000 in GE Capital’s structured finance group. Before joining GE she spent many years in banking, in jobs ranging from Global Relationship Management to Project Finance.
Isabel holds a Master’s degree in corporate law from Leiden University, the Netherlands. She is married and has three children.
