Officer, GE & President & CEO, GE Capital Americas

Dan Henson is an officer of GE Company and president and CEO of GE Capital, Americas. This business provides financing for equipment, inventory and franchises; fleet services and M&A, buyout and restructuring capital to companies in over 40 industries, including healthcare.

Prior to this role, Henson was president & CEO of GE Capital Solutions, an equipment leasing and lending business with operations in 30 countries. Earlier, he was GE’s chief marketing officer, responsible for sales and marketing, sales force effectiveness, advertising, branding and corporate communications. He was also charged with cross-business initiatives, including Imagination Breakthroughs, Ecomagination and GE’s Experienced Commercial Leadership Program.

A 26-year GE veteran, Henson was named a GE officer in 1999. He has served as the chief commercial officer of GE Commercial Finance, president and chief executive officer of GE Vendor Financial Services, president and chief executive officer of GE Capital Fleet Services and president and general manager of GE Capital Auto Financial Services. As chief quality officer for GE Capital, a position he assumed in 1998, he oversaw Six Sigma quality initiatives.

Henson began his career at GE as a district marketing manager for Vendor Financial Services, where he worked in sales, business development and management. He spent six years leading GE teams in London for European Equipment Finance and in Mexico City for Commercial Equipment Finance. He is a graduate of George Washington University’s School of Government and Business Administration in Washington, D.C.
